What is a Funeral Celebrant?

In short, a person who performs or officiates ceremonies that suit your loved one.

A funeral celebrant is a qualified host of a funeral, or if you prefer, a celebration of life and officiates at the service.

Celebrants are normally independent and offer non-religious funerals. However, they can also include religious and spiritual elements in the ceremony.

They will help you to tell the whole story of the life sadly lost and encourage family or friends to take part if that is their wish.

I am lucky enough to bring a wealth of experience to the ceremonies that I am able to offer you. I am passionate about working on a human level and will listen to what you want and need for your service whilst using my grief and bereavement training to make it as painless as possible, supporting you all of the way.

From the information I gain from family and friends, I create an experience that is fully personal and reflects the person you are saying goodbye to.

Each life tells a story and I will gently encourage you to open up so that we can share it.  You are the authors, I put the pen to paper.

With 21 years of professional life, and relevant personal knowledge behind me, I am qualified to assist you, and guide you if needs be, to ensure I provide the best and most memorable experiences for you.

I like to work with a balance of emotional support and humour for both the traditional and the quirky families.

Please get in touch if you have any questions.
